The James Alexander Robertson Memorial Prize is awarded annually to the best article in the\u00a0Hispanic American Historical Review\u00a0<\/em>(HAHR) in the previous calendar year. It was originally established in 1953 to improve the quality of articles in the HAHR since, in addition to the cash reward, the winning article was to be published in the HAHR. In 1957, its terms were changed to provide an award for an article already published.<\/p>\n
